Assam Rifles conducts painting competition

Imphal, November 30 2020: As part of its continuous efforts to increase COVID awareness amongst the local population, the troops of Assam Rifles conducted a painting competition on November 30 at Sawombung.

The aim of the competition was to raise awareness about the COVID-19 pandemic amongst the local populace.

The theme of the competition was "Corona Awareness and Corona Warriors of Manipur" said a statement issued by the PRO of IGAR (South).

Children from the nearby villages participated in the competition.

The competition was followed by an awareness lecture.

It added that Assam Rifles troops are committed to take forward the awareness drive under the Jan Aandolan Abhiyan started by the Prime Minister and ensure the message of safety against coronavirus is spread to maximum people and even to the remotest area.
