Imphal, August 31 2016: All Manipur College Teachers' Association (AMCTA) under the aegis of All India Federation of University and College Teachers' Organisation (AIFUCTO) will support the all India general strike called by central trade unions on September 2 as resolved in a meeting of the Association held at Modern College.

The Association will also observe the mass casual leave on October 5 as resolved by AIFUCTO.

AMCTA welcomes the State Cabinet decision for imple- mentation of the Manipur Higher Education Code 2016 but the Code should be produced in the same format as decided between the department concerned and AMCTA, said a state- ment issued by the Association.
