Imphal, June 30 2015 : In association with the State Social Welfare Department, Sagolband Constituency Progressive Committee today distributed old-age pension to the beneficiaries of the AC at Bijoy Govinda and Wahengbam Leikai today.

MLA RK Imo said that two venues have been arranged this time in order to minimise the inconvenience of the elderly beneficiaries.

Pensioners who posses red and blue cards would receive their pension amount today, he said.

Imphal West DSO Th Ahanjao said that pensions for 14 months at the rate of Rs 200 per month were handed over to two groups of beneficiaries - 60 to 79 years and 80 years and above.

Elderly pensioners who are unable to come to these two venues must submit an application to the DSO to get their pensions at their respective doorsteps, he said.
