United NGOs Mission-Manipur (UNM-M) has appealed to the State Government and the authority concerned to take up necessary steps to protect and safeguard the North East people living in different parts of the country .
A press release issued by the coordinator of UNMM, urged the Government to hand over the case of Chanam Pravish, to the CBI for speedy justice to the victim and his family .
It further urged the authority concerned to investigate and give fitting punishment to all those involved in the case as well as to look into the ill treatment and unethical medical malpractices allegedly committed by the hospital authority to the deceased, Chanam Pravish .
It also appealed to all the MPs of the North East States to look into the systematic atrocities and racist practices meted out to North East people in mainland India and to establish anti racism and anti discriminatory laws to protect the North East people.
