Imphal, June 27 2018: A joint statement of Meitei Council, Tamil Sangam, Hill Tribal Council, Manipuri Muslim Council and Gorkha Samaj, all based in Moreh, has condemned alleged remarks and comments circulating on social media platforms after the arrest of Chairman of ADC Chandel Lhukhosei Zou with seven associates on June 19 on drug related charges.

The joint statement signed by concerned authorities of the organisations appealed all individuals, CSOs and political organisations to refrain from making 'unfounded' comments and 'allegations' over the incident on any social media.

The matter is still under investigation, let the law take its own course, said the organisations in their statement.
