Imphal, December 26 2014 : As part of Christmas celebration, an insignia (badge) in remembrance of legendary leaders Anal tribe was launched by former MLA and MP BD Behring during a programme organised by Anal Students' Union (ASU) on December 25 at Anal Baptist Church.

Speaking at the occasion, BD Behring said that Anal community has been observing January 12 as a day to remember the three legendary leaders - Thumthel, Bholhung and Takesung- of Anal tribe.

With the launching of the insignia, people will be reminded for the bravery and courage of the three leaders.

He asserted that Anal tribe which is one of the oldest tribes in the State should be popularised far and wide by attributing roads in Chandel district under the names of the legendary leaders by the State Government.
