Imphal, September 25 2019: All Manipur Newly Appointed Public Works Department Employees Association 2016 has cautioned authorities concerned that they will launch intense agitation if not given appointment (joining letters) within 15 days.

Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club, its president Yendrembam Chandrashekhar said that results were declared for recruitment of Grade III & IV posts on December 23 and 31, 2016.351 candidates were declared successful.

However, 102 were removed, he said.

Till today, the remaining successful candidates are not given appointment letters, he said.

Intense agitation will be launched if the candidates are not given appointment letters within 15 days, he cautioned informing that the association will be writing to the Prime Minister and Home Minister regarding the matter.
