Imphal, December 24, 2013:
The proscribed PREPAK (Pro) has refuted all the charges made against Thoudam Khomba alias Inunganba and Sanasam Rabi alias Suraj who were reportedly arrested by Bihar Police from Patna.
The allegations that they were involved in the Nagamapal bomb blast of September 13 which killed nine persons and injured 11 others and the murder of van driver Okram Gyanendro on August 18 this year were baseless, the outfit contended through a press release issued by its senior publicity officer Melei.
The outfit does not have any strategy to kill innocent civilians.
Khomba alias Inunganba and Rabi alias Suraj were not given any order which might have slightest connection with the Nagamapal bomb blast or the murder of the van driver.
Manipur Police are unable to pull up many criminals and to cover up this weakness, they have been making false charges against arrested persons even though they never committed the crimes for which they are charged.
It went on to question the utility and purpose of having the Home Department and CID Department.
