Imphal, November 22 2012: Zenith Academy, Sangaiprou whose student Md Ismat topped the all India CBSE Class XII exam has been felicitated by Aligarh Alumni Association, New York.

In recognition of Ismat's outstanding academic performance, the alumni association feted the academy's founder S Manaoton.

Speaking at a reception function held in the academy campus today, S Manaoton attributed academic excellence of the school to dedication and hard work put in by teachers over the years.

He said that the school authority was helping Md Ismat physically and financially in view of his family's abject poverty.

Even as the Chief Minister announced a reward of Rs 10 lakhs for the schools and another Rs five lakhs for Ismat, the announcement has not been put into action till date, Manaoton said.
