Imphal, July 21 2024: Dr Maibam Amarjit Singh was conferred the Ashoka Award in Journalism and Social Work during the award ceremony held in connection with International Moon Day at the Constitution Club of India, New Delhi yesterday.

Additionally, his spouse Maibam Ongbi Ranjita was also awarded the Nari Samman Puraskar on the occasion.

It is worth noting that despite being physically challenged, Dr Maibam Amarjit from Thoubal Khunou is an exceptionally hardworking journalist and social worker.
