Imphal, September 20 2012: Narcotic Cell, Imphal West district detected six gunny bags containing 300 bottles of 100ml Lupic of Codein syrup per bag from the unauthorised possession of Md Islao Rahaman (18) s/o Md Abdul Salam of Lilong Turel Ahanbi Dam from North AOC, said a statement issued by the Superintendent of Police of Imphal West.

Md Islao is at present staying at Hatta near Central Masjid.

The drugs were brought in an auto-rickshaw bearing registration No MN04B-8757 driven by one Md Muthi alias Qyamuddin (25) s/o Md Ayadali of Thoubal Moijing Awang Leikai.

A case has been registered at Imphal PS for investigation, added the statement.
