Imphal, December 18 2012: Along with the closure of Community Health Centre, Jiribam, members of All Jiribam Medical Employees Association staged a sit-in protest against the monetary demand served on the CHC.

Doctors and Ministerial staff are reportedly receiving threats and demand from some outfits.

The protesters appealed the group concerned not to make any demand or threat to the hospital considering the services rendered by the hospital for the general public.

Meanwhile, All Jiribam Meira Paibee, Jiri Development Organisation, Jiri Ima Meira Paibee, and Women Association for Civic Action Kangleipak have condemned the demand and urged the concerned group to withdraw any kind of threat and demand to the centre.

The shut down of the hospital has reportedly caused inconveniences to several patients of the area.
