KISG draws attention

The Kuki Inpi Saikul Gamkai (KISG) president, Thangkam Lupheng on Friday drew the attention of the Government of Manipur regarding the drought like situation in the State.
Farmers cannot cultivate in more than 70 percent of their paddy field in the Saikul area, Senapati district due to shortage of rain fall in the State for the past 2-3 months at the same time cultivation period is going to end in this situation how the government is planning to tackle and solve the drought like situation in the state particularly for the Saikul area asked Thangkam Lupheng.
Most of the farmers are solely depending on their cultivation grain to support their family, if the drought like situation is not solve or tackle by the government at the earliest thousands of family has to go with a single meal throughout the year.
Appealing to the state government the KISG president said that in the larger interest of the farmers and the general public the government should act immediately in tackling the drought like situation in the state particularly in Saikul area.
