Imphal, August 16 2014 : The 40 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector under the aegis of Hqs IGAR (South) distributed books, stationery and sports items to the children at UJB LP School, Khoripok Village near keithelmanbi, on the occasion of the 68th Independence Day of India.

The event was graced by the Commandant of 40 Assam Rifles, who distributed stationery and sports items to the students and teachers in presence of Principal of the school, teachers and guardians of the students, under the Assam Rifles Military Civic Action Programme.

During the interaction, the Principal, students and villagers highlighted the support and cooperation extended by Assam Rifles while the Commandant assured maximum possible help and support for the education and rich sports culture of Manipur.
