Imphal, August 16 2013 : Three personnel of Central Jail Imphal, namely SK Bhadrika, Assistant Jailor; Konthoujam Shahikumar Singh, Head Warden and Nengkhoting Haokip, Female Warden, have been awarded the President's Correctional Service Medal for Meritorious Service on the occasion of Independence Day, 2013 for their outstanding devotion to duty and correctional measures taken in the jail department.

According to a statement issued by IK Muivah, IPS, Sr Superintendent, Manipur Central Jail, the personnel were among the 38 all India Correctional Service Medal awardees on the occasion of Independence Day, 2013 .
