Governor summons assembly session from July 31

Imphal, July 15 2024: Governor Anusuiya Uikey has summoned the 6th session of the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly from July 31 .

The session will commence from 11 am, according to a notification issued by Manipur Legislative Assembly secretary on Saturday, adding that the decision follows the Governor's June 26 order proroguing the 5th session of the Assembly.

On Friday, the state cabinet had approved the summoning of the budget session from July 31 .

The previous assembly session was adjourned sine die on March 5 this year.
