No let up in KSDDC protest

Imphal, February 14 2016: The protest against the renaming of Thangting as Kangvai under the aegis of Khousabung Subdivision Demand Committee (KSDDC) has continued.

Protesters from different communities gathered tonight at Khousabung village market shed and held a candle light vigil for the third consecutive night.

Seilenmang, MDC, Khousabung DCC; S Chungjalam Kom, chief of Phunchongjang, Thangboi, president of TSA, Ccpur and Thanglal Haokip, president, KSO, TT block ad- dressed the protesters.

They have been demanding renaming of Thangting as Khousabung.

They pledged to carry on the stir until the demand to review the Cabinet decision renaming Thangting as Kangvai is reviewed.

Meanwhile, S Gouneu, secretary of KSSDC urged all concerned to join them in their quest for justice.
