Thoubal, July 13 2021: Chief Judicial Magistrate Thoubal has remanded Rafique Ali, son of Md Ahmed Ali of Moijing Lamkhai who was arrested on the charge of issuing Covid vaccine certificate to four non vaccinated people to judicial custody, today.

Rafique Ali, a primary teacher at Moijing High School was arrested on July 7 by Thoubal police.

He allegedly issued the certificate during a mass Vaccination programme on July 5 at Thoubal Awang Leikai Community Hall.

Following his arrest on July 7, he was produced before the CJM Thoubal the following day.

The Court remanded the accused to police custody after a hearing of the case.

On completion of his police custody remand, the accused was virtually produced before the CJM, during which the Court remanded him to judicial custody.
