Imphal, March 10 2021: Shangshak battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) organised village security meeting at Sorde on yesterday with the aim of creating security awareness amongst the local populace.

Currently important political issue of the Naga Peace Accord was discussed alongwith social issues of COVID vaccination, education awareness and information related to upcoming recruitment rallies.

In addition, the locals were made aware against involvement in smuggling activities in the area.

The Village headmen, secretaries & Village authorities of eleven villages in the area attended the meet.

The locals conveyed their heartfelt gratitude to the Assam Rifles for the initiatives taken towards improving the standard of living in these remote villages.
