AR facilitates apprehension of drug peddlers

Imphal, February 08 2021: In continuation to its sustained effort to maintain peace and tranquility in the area, troops of Kangwai Battalion Assam Rifles facilitated the apprehension of two drug peddlers and recovered 75 grams of Heroine.

Acting on the credible intelligence provided by the Kangwai Battalion Assam Rifles, the Imphal East Commando Police team detained two drug peddlers from Pureirormba Khongnangkhong area under Imphal east, district of Manipur on yesterday.

The assessed market value of the recovered contraband is worth Rs.30 Lakh.

The detainees were identified as Wahengbam Jameson, Son of Bhutto and Thangjam Chanba, Son of Late Momorjit residents of Patsoi part-1 in Imphal West district of Manipur.
