Imphal West gets air quality monitoring station

Imphal, September 07 2021:
An Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Station was opened today at Imphal West SDO complex in Lamshang.
Inaugurating the monitoring station, L Radhakishore, chairman Manipur Pollution Control Board (MPCB) said this was the 8th such monitoring station installed in the State to monitor the changing environmental attributes of the State.
The data collected by the stations will be District Environment Action Plan (DEAP) and will decide on the line of actions that need to be taken up to protect and rejuvenate the environment.
The data will also be sent to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), he added.
