CM leaves Imphal for NEC session

Imphal, September 07 2019: Chief Minister N Biren left Imphal for Guwahati today to attend a plenary session of the North Eastern Council (NEC) which would be held on September 8 and 9 with Union Home Minister Amit Shah in the chair.

The plenary session would be attended by Governors and Chief Ministers of all the North Eastern States.

Apart from Chief Minister N Biren and Governor Dr Najma Heptulla, the Chief Secretary, the Planning Commissioner and the Planning Director would also attend the session.

During the plenary session, State officials would urge the NEC to revive the five projects related to soil erosion which were scrapped in 2017, in addition to tabling a proposal for investment in the State's tourism sector.
