Imphal, November 06 2012: A Nabachandra Singh of Keishamthong Hodam Leirak has been appointed as the Chairperson of Manipur Commission for Protection of Child Rights for a term of three years.

According to a notification issued by Letkhogin Haokip, Commissioner (Social Welfare), six others were also appointed as members of the commission for a term of six years.

The six appointed members included Thiyam Jaya Devi of Keishamthong Top Leirak; Y Nolini Devi of Naranseina, Moirang; Haseen Chisti of Thangal Bazar; Lamminlian Vaiphei (Lian) of K Thiamdawi Village, Saikul; K Maharabi Singh of Langthabal Mantrikhong Makha Leikai and Ch Nabachandra Singh of Patsoi Pt-III.
