Imphal, February 01 2018: A meeting for farmers was held at Manipur Muslim Council Moreh office today, All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC) general secretary L Sotin Kumar, AITUC secretary A Sharat Chandra, Working Women Forum Manipur secretary Y Indrani Devi, All Manipur ASHA Workers Union vice president Th Purnimashi Devi attended the meeting as presidium members.

All Moreh Shinmee Lup Moreh, a farmers club, under All India Trade Union Congress Manipur was also set up as part of the meeting.

While Romila haokip, Noorjahan and L Binarani Devi were appointed as president, secretary and treasurer of the newly created farmers club, respectively.
