Imphal, July 31 2024: Retired IAS officer T Ranjit has been appointed as chairperson of the Manipur Staff Selection Commission.

According to an order issued by the chief secretary on July 30, under Section 3 read with Section 4 of the Manipur Staff Selection Commission Act 2022, T Ranjit shall be chairperson of the Commission for a period of three years from the date on which he joins office or till he attains the age of 65 years, whichever is earlier.

His pay, allowances and other conditions of service will be governed by the Manipur Staff Selection Commission Act 2022, the order informed.
