Kakching, December 31 2019:
Communist Party of India, Kakching Local Council has demanded the State Government and authorities concerned to release party secretary L Sotinkumar unconditionally at the earliest.
A press release issued by the council said that the arrest of L Sotinkumar in connection with the Nationwide general strike, which was also endorsed in Manipur, called by Left parties against the passing of Citizenship Amendment Act 2019 on December 19 is very unfortunate.
Claiming that there was no report of any untoward incident on the said day, it appealed all concerned to release its comrade at the earliest.
