ATDUM chief resigns post to join politics

Imphal, July 18 2014 : All Tribal Disabled Union, Manipur (ATDUM) president Momo Tantanga has resigned from his post to join politics.

However, Momo did not disclose which party he may join.

According to Momo Tantanga, he had taken the decision to enter politics as he feels that joining politics can serve the people in a larger way.

The ATDUM Managing Committee has deliberated thoroughly on the decision of Momo resigning as the president of ATDUM, a statement by ATDUM stated.

Following the development one Letminthang Haokip has been appointed as president in-charge till the completion of the present tenure.

Meanwhile, a farewell programme for the out going president and reception function of the president in-charge will be held on July 31.The present and the former executive members and the district units executives are invited to presence on this day.
