Kakching, June 06, 2014: A three-day non-residential community training programme for the members of School Mangement Committees (SMC) and School Management Development Committees (SMDC) of schools in Thoubal district was inaugurated at Wangbal Community Hall yesterday.

District Project Officer of SSA Thoubal David Tualzathang and SSA Thoubal District Programme Manager P Sukumar Singh were chief guest and president of the inaugural function of the programme organised by Sarva Shiksha Aviyan (SSA) Thoubal district.

During the training, resource persons will deliver lectures on the importance of SSA and RTE, responsibilities of SMDCs and SMCs, Inclusive education and duties of the teachers and schools, accounts maintenance in civil works, Equity and quality of RTE, management and monitoring of district specific issues, according to a statement issued by Programme Co-ordinator of SSA Thoubal Ak Nando Singh.
