Speaker greets labourers force on May Day

Imphal, April 30 2015 : Speaker Th Lokeshwar on Thursday greeted all labourers of Manipur on the occasion of May Day which is celebrated throughout the world every year on May 1. In his message the Speaker appealed to the State Government to formulate an enhanced welfare policy for the working class in Manipur.

Lokeshwar cited that low wage earners from outside the State are continuously flooding Manipur creating a ground for competition over the work force with the native labourers.

"In such as crucial hour the Manipur Government needs to devise a better welfare policy for the native work force, the Speaker demanded in the message.
