Private schools in Churachandpur district which were forced to shut down on account of monetary demands and threats from certain UG groups will resume classes from August 12. A decision to this effect was taken at a general body meeting of Churachandpur District Private School's Association (CDPSA) held today.
According to the Association, the decision to re-open its member schools was taken for the welfare and career of the students.
The CDPSA is saddened that it was compelled to take the painful step of closing its member schools due to persistent treats and monetary demand by underground militants, it said.
The Association further appreciated the Autonomous District Council, Churachandpur, and the district administration for resolving the issue and also thanked the student communities, parents and the public for supporting and understanding the need for a conducive environment for education in the district.
