Imphal, July 30 2015: In a self-immolation incident, a youth reportedly succumbed at RIMS here early on Thursday.

Leithangbam Michael (26), resident of Ward No-7 of Bishnupur district, set himself on fire at a saw mill in Chingdon village under Bishnupur district at around 2:30 pm on Wednesday.

He was in an inebriated condition when he committed suicide.

Sources said he poured kerosene over his body and then set himself on fire which badly burned him.

Michael was a worker at the saw mill.

Michel was rushed to RIMS, but succumbed after a brief treatment this morning.
