IGNOU convocation held

Imphal, August 08 2015 : Commissioner of Higher Education, P Waiphei has called for quality education in the State on Saturday.

"Education is a learning process which never ends and to develop educational sector including higher education we should work together," Waiphei stated while speaking at the convocation of Indira Gandhi National Open University, Imphal Regional Centre held at Jina Hall, North AOC.

P Waiphei who attended the convocation as guest of honour said that Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has been continuously contributing to higher education sector while taking important role.

While adding that education is a never ending process, Waiphei said that everyone should continue learning even after completion of higher education.

Regional Director of IGNOU, Imphal Regional Centre Dr S Dilan said that IGNOU has produced many students from Manipur.

The University has given different courses in distance learning mode while professionals have also benefitted from it, added Dr Dilan.

At the conclusion of the convocation, degree certificates were distributed to 103 students of the IGNOU, Imphal Regional Centre.
