Imphal, July 05 2014 : Manipur Alliance for Child Rights (MACR) has urged the state government to provide ex gratia to the bereaved family of late Master Leishangthem Sushil, 8 years, a student of Ever Green Flowers School, Thoubal Ningombam, who lost his life, and and financial reliefs to all other 22 students and van driver of the School who sustained injuries in a tragic road accident on June 3 .

In the light of the accident, MACR has deplored failure of the concerned state governments departments and Board to comply with recommendations of Manipur Commission for Protection of Child Rights (MCPCR) for setting up a comprehensive School Van/Bus Transport policy in Manipur.
