Eight hospitalized for food poisoning

Imphal, August 10, 2014: Eight people including four members of a family have been hospitalized for food poisoning after they consumed dish made of bamboo shoots and Ngaphak, a variety of dry fish, this morning.

The dish was cooked at the residence of Md Nazaimuddin of Porompat Pangal Leirak, Imphal East.

Just after consuming the meals, all of them started complaining of stomach pain and vomiting.

All eight of them undergoing treatment at JNIMS Hospital and are said to be out of danger.

According to them, the bamboo shoots and Ngaphak were brought from a vegetable seller who came to sell in the locality early morning today.
