Imphal, January 08 2014: Manipur Electricity Employees' Union has demanded the State Government to regularize 364 work-charge employees, 38 muster-roll employees and 32 contractual employees of the Electricity Department before the department is converted into a corporation.

Addressing media persons today, President of Manipur Electricity Employees' Union Y Rana Pratap said that said that the work-charge, muster-roll and contractual employees have been working in the Department for quite a long time.

The State Government should regularize the employees in kind consideration of the hardship faced by the employees.
