Imphal, October 16 2015 : Government of India, Community Food and Nutrition Extension Unit Ministry of Women and Child Development, Imphal and National Cooperative Union of India (NCUI) Women Cooperative Education Project � Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India, Imphal jointly observed the World Food Day 2015 on Friday at Khurai Konsam Leikai.

The programme was held under the theme "Social Protection and Agriculture: Breaking the Cycle of Rural Poverty." Jila Parishad member of Khurai Nandeibam Leikai Naoroibam Basanti, NCUI Project Coordination Committee, Manipur chairman Jina Potsangbam attended the function as chief guest and president respectively while Pradhan of Khurai Konsam Leikai, Leimaram Indu was the guest of honour.
