Imphal, November 15 2015: The proscribed Peoples' Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (Progressive) has owned responsibility of killing Nangmeirakpam Sanjit alias Abung alias Ningthiba, Batch/AR No 39899, son of late Khamba of Pukhao Naharup Awang.

PREPAK (PRO) in a release said that Sanjit was a deserter who fled away with a weapon issued on March 19 last after shooting to death a woman cadre.

Sanjit was killed as per the rules and regulations of the outfit, said the statement and urged villagers of Mongbung not to take the outfit "in the wrong ways" .
