Noney farmers appeal

Imphal, July 10 2014: Pointing out that lack of adequate rainfall has delayed transplantation of paddy in Noney area and the problem has been further compounded by non-availability of proper irrigation system, aggrieved farmers of Noney have urged the concerned authority to provide water pumping set and other necessary equipments so as to facilitate irrigation of their field.

They also made a fervent appeal for arranging several alternative means as farming is their main occupation and source of livelihood.
