MUTA to launch strike from today

Imphal, January 31 2014 :
The Manipur University Teachers' Association (MUTA) has on Friday said its proposed cease work strike will launch from tomorrow to put pressure on the Government to meet its demands.
MUTA and the authorities of Manipur University have been in a deadlock over non-fulfilment of demands raised by the former.
The association's demands include appointment of statutory/ non-statutory post, implementation of the scheme of HAG scale, providing of scale of furniture and seed money as per UGC norms, streamlining of the function of MUTA, among others.
