JAC to go on mass casual leave on Aug 7

Imphal, August 04 2015: Joint Administrative Council (JAC) of All Manipur Trade Unions' Council (AMTUC) and All Manipur Government Employees' Organisation (AMGEO), Manipur Secretariat Service Association and Manipur Pensioner Union has resolved to go on a mass casual leave on August 7, Friday to condemn State Government's alleged irresponsible attitude.

The decision was taken after an emergency executive council meeting of the JAC.

JAC of AMTUC and AMGEO in a press statement stated that the JAC was supposed to go on an indefinite cease work strike from August 5 onwards but it had been postponed due to the ongoing the state issues on ILPS, flood and landslides.

However, the decision of indefinite cease work strike is yet to be suspended and can start it at any moment, warned the statement.

While urging all employees and workers to support the decision, the statement also confirmed that members of Manipur State Pensioners Union will be staging a sit-in protest on the day at Chinga Makhong.
