People oppose Cultural University

Imphal, July 30 2015: People of Koutruk, Senjam Khunou, Senjam Chirang, Haraothel and nearby villages have never allowed or granted land to construct Cultural University, said a release from Koutruk, Senjam Khunou and Senjam Chirang Development Organisation.

A meeting held on Thursday at Chirang Youth Development Club resolved not to permit or allot land to the Govt for constructing the proposed Cultural University in the area.

The release also said that the locals have been conserving the land to build a Sports University, without taking any compensation.

Demanding the reason of shifting the plan for construction of a cultural university instead of a sports university, they said that the sports university should be built there and not at Yaithibi Loukol.
