Imphal, February 28 2016: A joint statement by AMSU, District Committee, Jiribam; KSO, Jiribam and Tamenglong area; ZSU, Jiri area; AMBSU; MSO, Manipur State Committee and JCSU has stated that the fire at Jiri College is an attempt to defile the demand of the stu- dents' body.

The bodies, it added, take serious note of the incident and will not remain silent.

They have further urged Meira Paibi lups, CSOs, clubs, organisations and other students' organisations under the sub-division to support their agitation.
