Imphal, October 27 2015: The 20 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) established an IT Hub in Chandel to empowered women in Chandel.

According to a statement, PRO HQ IGAR (S) said that the IT Hub was dedicated on March 30 last where six state of the art computers with Wi-Fi connectivity and printers were installed along with requisite furniture.

The centre has become a self sustaining project where IT education is imparted to school children and youth of Chandel District.

The centre has not only started earning revenue catering for day to day expenditure but also has started making profits too.

Due to the IT hub, the youths of Chandel Town now have 24x7 internet connectivity.
