Imphal, October 22 2012: The 7th Annual Mini Mela-2012 being organized by Keishamthong Kabui Youths' Union (KKYU) kicked off from today at the community hall of Keishamthong Kabui khull here today.

According to Kamei Manoj Kabui, who is the co-covnenor of 7th Annual Mini Mela-2012, the event is being organized to instill the idea of peace and togetherness among the Kabui youth and to promote the ethnic food and drinks of the community.

The Mini- Mela would go on for five days during which various ethnic foods and traditional handloom and handicraft products would be on display for sale in 24 different stalls which are participating in the event.

The inaugural function of the Mini Mela was attended by MLA of Sagolband A/C R K Imo Singh, Councillor of Imphal Minicipal Council Karanchonglu Gangmei and Khullakpa of Keishamthong Kabui village Lungpuiga Remmei as Chief Guest, President and Guest of Honour respectively.
