Imphal, August 11 2022: The 81st birth anniversary of former minister (late) Akoijam Langam was observed at Manipur Press Club by family members of the minister on Thursday.

As part of the programme, Langam's better-half AK Santibala presented gifts to executive members of All Manipur Working Journalists' Union and Editors' Guild Manipur present at the event.

It may be recalled that Akoijam Langam was born on August 11, 1941 .

After retirement from his career as a pilot, he joined politics and got elected from Naoriya Pakhanglakpa AC and became a minister.

He passed away in 2003 .
