Jiri College staffs to launch stir from today

Imphal, August 10, 2014: Demanding revision of pay scale in commensurate with the degree level scale for the employees of Jiri College, the Jiri College Employees' Association has decided to launch agitation by wearing black badges beginning August 11.The decision was taken during a meeting of the Association held at the staff room of Jiri College today.

It may be recalled that among the 12 Aided Colleges of Manipur, Jiri College in Jiribam Sub- division is the only college where the employees' are still getting the pre-revised Higher Secondary scale of pay.

In the meeting today, the employees resolved to begin the protest as the concerned authorities have not given any positive response to their demands of revising their pay scales.
