Imphal, April 07 2015 : Body of Jamkhogin Khongsai (31) s/o Kamjang Khongsai of Saichang village has been claimed by his family after the post mortem examination was conducted at JNIMS morgue today.

Jamkhogin's body has been lying at JNIMS morgue since April 5.Family members refuted the report that the deceased had connection with an underground organisation.

Jamkhogin died after a stray bullet hit him as he went out of his house after hearing gunshots in his village on April 5, they said.

Sources said that Jamkhogin's body was claimed by his family after they arrived at an understanding with Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam, who also holds the Home portfolio.
