Protests continue at several places

Imphal, August 06 2015: The 48 hour general strike called by the students' wing of HCILP concluded at 6 pm on Thursday.

There were the usual methods of protests like blocking the roads, mass sit-in protests and formation of the human chains.

The protests were seen in almost all localities.

Elangbam Leikai Apunba Nupi Meira Lup President and activist N Bashanti on reiterated the demand for the implementation of ILPS in Manipur.

All the women activists on Thursday demanded booking of the police personnel involved in the killing of Sapam Robinhood and introduction of the ILP in Manipur.

Meanwhile, N Bashanti also asked why the details of the peace accord signed between NSCN (IM) and Government of India was hidden from the people.

She demanded participation of the Manipur Chief Minister in the peace talks with the NSCN (IM) .
