Imphal, June 06, 2014: A partly decomposed body of a man was found floating in Mapa Lokchao River at Haonenphai village situated about 3 kms north of Moreh Police Station under Chandel district on June 5 around 3 pm.

Reports said the corpse was found by some people who went to the river for having bath.

There were injury marks on the head, shoulder and waist of the dead body with stones hung from his neck and thigh.

Later, police retrieved the body and brought to the mortuary JNIMS Hospital for post mortem.

It is said that the deceased looked like a non-Manipuri aged around 42 years.
