Sit-in-protest staged

Imphal, March 04 2016 :
Large number of school students, villagers and Government
school teachers today staged a sit in protest at the waiting shed
of Pallel Bazar, Thoubal district today decrying the murder of
Ts Thongkhogin Haokip, assistant Hindi teacher of Molnom
Junior High School, our correspondent reports.
Shops and other
establishments in and around Pallel down their shutters during
the sit in protest.
Lunkhomang Haokip, president of Chandel
District Kuki Teachers Welfare Association has appealed the
State Government to book the culprits and ascertain the motives
behind the murder at the earliest.
